JCB TM320
- 5.4 mmaximum lift height
- 147 HPmaximum engine power
- 4100 kgmaximum load capacity
It is powered by a super-efficient JCB EcoMAX 93 kW (T4F / Stage 4) engine with high torque at low revs, which means lower fuel consumption. The TM320 also has a pivoting centre joint, with a +/- 10o pivot angle and permanent four-wheel drive for strong performance in all conditions. The broken linkage system (Z-type) serves up tremendous breakout force and pick-up power for the mounted implements.
JCB's 4-speed Powershift transmission and class-leading driveline components ensure high efficiency and performance. Combine all this with a forward reach of 3m, a lifting capacity of 3.2 tonnes and a lifting height of 5.2m.
JCB's range of articulated telehandlers has been developed to provide outstanding versatility in space-constrained areas.
The EcoMAX TM320 articulated-telescopic loader provides the most comfortable, productivity-promoting and safe working position. Pulling power is excellent thanks to the pivoting main articulation with a +/-10° pivot angle, ensuring constant contact with the ground. The machine also has permanent four-wheel drive.
All our machines use a split-flow hydraulic system that allows two functions to be carried out simultaneously, reducing cycle times.
If you need a versatile articulated-telescopic steer loader with efficient loading, telescopic reach and a huge range of specialist attachments for waste processing, look no further than JCB.
INNOVATIVE CONCEPT
In order to make the best use of every drop of precious fuel, gravitational forces were used to make lowering and retracting the boom more energy-efficient and efficient.
In addition, the hydraulics operate with load sensing, drawing power only when required to save fuel.
In the cab of the JCB TM420, there is a button to release pressure from the front and rear working hydraulic circuits, ensuring quick and safe attachment changes.
End damping of boom movement during extension/reversal improves material retention and makes work cycles smoother.
High-flow pipework provides greater flow to the boom; a system ideally suited to attachments requiring high flow, such as silage cutters and straw shredders.
For even better load retention when driving fast on road or off-road, opt for the automatic bucket suspension system (Auto SmoothRide = SRS). The automatic SRS activates when the speed exceeds 2.5 mph (4 km/h). This system can be activated manually, at any boom position.
The high back-off power-assisted brakes reduce frictional resistance when driving on the road and when handling, increasing fuel efficiency.
POWER TO BE USED
The JCB TM420 is equipped with a JCB EcoMAX Tier 4 Final engine with a variable geometry blade turbocharger. This 4.8-litre, 145hp (108kW) engine provides a boost in performance - such as a high 560Nm torque at low engine speeds. This, in turn, means optimum engine flexibility, cycle times and traction, along with fuel-efficient matching to the transmission and hydraulics.
For exceptional traction and performance in soft, muddy terrain, we install 4WD as standard. For even better performance in difficult conditions, choose limited-slip differentials.
You can vary the flow rate on the fly - perfect for a straw chopper or sweeper, while a second optional boom auxiliary circuit caters for a wide range of additional attachments. The constant flow hydraulics are intuitive to use, with flow rates displayed on the screen in the cab and adjustable on the fly.
On this telehandler, there is a selectable torque converter lock in gears four to six to increase efficiency and productivity.

EASY SERVICING
The cab screen of the JCB TM420 wheeled telehandler displays daily checks, including coolant level and engine oil level.
With our graphite-impregnated bronze bushings, we have achieved extended lubrication intervals of 500 hours to maximise machine availability.
On this wheeled telehandler, the diesel and DEF fluid tanks are easily filled from ground level. Both tanks have built-in pre-filters in the filler ports for protection against dirt and debris and also have special keys for protection against accidental cross-contamination.
Self-lubricating boom wear pads and dry lubrication of the boom ensure true maintenance-free operation.
For ease of servicing, the engine oil, hydraulic oil and fuel filters are centrally located. The air filter is also easily accessible and is a two-piece design, simplifying cleaning. The JCB TM420 is equipped with a large, wide service bay, accessible through the gas spring-lifted bonnet. This arrangement allows quick and easy inspection of the three sides of the engine.
Excellent access to the cab, with three points of contact and ergonomically positioned hand grips and steps. Hose burst check valves (HBCVs) on the cylinders protect against boom collapse in the event of hose failure. Adaptive load control technology automatically controls the hydraulics to help maintain the machine's longitudinal stability.
To protect your investment, the TM420 is equipped as standard with the LiveLink telematics system, which tracks the position of the machine in real time, and optionally with an immobiliser key as an additional security feature.
Our optional reversing camera displays an unobstructed view of the field behind the machine on the colour on-board monitor of your TM 420. A reversing alarm is fitted as standard on the JCB TM420 to warn bystanders.
A FORCE YOU CAN RELY ON
The TM420 telescopic wheel loader's rigorous testing programme includes subjecting the chassis, boom and other key components to heavy loads, as well as repeated thousands of gearbox engagements in typical agricultural work cycles.
The centrally-mounted lift, tilt and extension cylinders eliminate torsion of the boom and are held in place by centrally-mounted special bore castings for even greater structural integrity.
At JCB, we make our own hydraulic cylinders, cabs, axles, gearboxes and engines - all designed to ensure that these assemblies work together in perfect harmony for optimum reliability.
Maximum resistance and rigidity is ensured by the special design central joint, which takes vertical and horizontal loads.
A wide-channel cooling block with an optional hydraulic reversing fan removes accumulated debris. The reversing fan can be set by a simple switch to manual or automatic operation.
The cast-iron rear counterweight of the telescopic wheel loader further protects against impact damage; the recessed rear lights, mounted above the counterweight, are well protected.
FULL COMFORT
Our new HVAC system (heater, ventilation, air conditioning) provides operators with long-lasting comfort and makes it easy to maintain attention on the job; the 3-speed heater fan is used to maintain the correct temperature for work all year round, from cold winter to hot harvest days.
Damping of the end movements of the boom during lifting, extending, reversing and dumping of the bucket reduces the impact on the operator and the machine.
The cab of the TM420 telescopic wheel loader is large and spacious, with plenty of storage space for personal belongings and work essentials.
A colour LED screen on the dashboard provides operators with useful information, such as man-hours, fuel reserve, fuel consumption since last refuelling and average instantaneous fuel consumption. The DEF (Diesel Exhaust Fluid) level and any additional information and times to the next service period are also shown.
The illuminated buttons ensure fast and accurate recognition of the controls, even in the dark.
Optional air conditioning makes it even easier to achieve the right temperature in the cab of this telescopic wheel loader.
